Disney: a place to get more experience
It was such a special moment on the 31st of January 2008, when I learned that I had been accepted as an intern in the Human Resources department- it was a great start to the year!
I had just arrived from Lyon where I was completing my course in Business Communication my internship began with 3 days of integration. Have you ever wondered how the Walt Disney Company was born? In how many sectors they operate? Then I began my internship itself, all of hierarchy in HR were very welcoming, and to top it all off, I had my very own office! I quickly became caught up in the day to day running of the HR department, my first mission was to create a logo that would give a visual identity for my department. In other words to encompass in a logo what we do. At each stage I was supported and managed by my 2 superiors- I let my creativity flow in my office! This was swiftly followed by other missions, the launch of a communication plan, a summary of tools currently used and the keeping in line with pre-assigned objectives) as well as the execution of my own personal project. Disney for me in the end has been about meeting new people, learning and challenges.
