Discovering a Whole New World!

Right from my very first day in the company I was just as excited as the kids at the gates of the park. But I was headed to a very different place- hired as an intern-marketing assistant in the department that takes care of external communication with tourism professionals across Europe- (principally travel agents), I had an appointment at the Disney University. Everyone who works for Disney has experienced this on their first day of initial training: discovering Disney’s rich history and what it is means to work for Disney. Discovering a whole new world, with its own codes – for example “Cast Member” and still as magical when we work there. Lots of men and women work hard every day to create magic behind the scenes. I am thrilled to be part of it!

What is my job? I have worked on a variety of communication supports- prints, emailings, webbanners etc and with different markets, which have in turn allowed my creativity to run wild! I also worked on some reports measuring our activity. I handled from A-Z the launch of an internet site developed for travel agents in order for them to learn more about our resort. I really appreciated the support of the whole team on this challenging project!

Working here is so exciting! And I almost feel like singing “Hi-ho, hi-ho it’s home from work we go..”
