25 years have already gone by since the Disney VoluntEARS began donating their time and talent communicating joy and dreams throughout the world.
At Disneyland Paris our commitment to children with difficulties and their families does not go back to yesterday.
It is the result of a mutual aid that is a solidly anchored tradition.
800 Disney VoluntEARS, every year, show solidarity by participating in numerous activities organized by Disneyland Paris: Hospital visits, Disney Wish program for children, Solidarity Days, charities, fundraisers…
Magical Dates
- 1991: Community Relations team is born. First hospital visits
- 1992: Disney Wish program is launched
- 1994: Telethon fundraising begins at Disneyland Paris
- 2000: Workshops in hospitals for children is initiated
- 2004: Telethon fundraising headquarters established at Disney for that year’s event
- 2005: “Club Benevole” becomes the Disney VoluntEARS, with 800 members to date
A few operations in France…
- 8000 children’s wishes have come true since 1992
- 2000 “Secours Populaire” children welcomed for the millennium
- “Princesses & Créateurs” (Princess Designer Dresses) auctioned for charity
- “Oubliés des Vacances” (vacation for a day for under privileged children)
- 600,000€ given to 15 European associations who have been partnering with Disney for more than 15 years…
Partnering with numerous local and international associations, they contribute to enriching our relationships with the neighboring communities.
