Disneyland Paris receives the Diversity Label from AFNOR Certification
AFNOR Certification, an international organization, has awarded the Diversity Label accreditation after strict assessment. The entirety of the group’s human resources policies and procedures were audited on a number of occasions in 2009 and 2010. This label recognizes the commitments made by Disneyland Paris to prevent discrimination, to ensure equal opportunities and to promote diversity. It also symbolizes a new stage for a company committed to diversity that wishes to:
• continue structuring its approach with real follow-through on ongoing and future actions;
• follow through on efforts and investments in the promotion of diversity;
• amend and improve related procedures whenever necessary;
• communicate to its partners the company’s commitment to non-discrimination and diversity;
• Strengthen employees’ feelings of belonging to a multi-cultural company;
• Involve partners and suppliers in accompanying them in this area.
“Diversity is a core value at Disneyland Paris, as well as being a tangible reality and a value that our company wishes to take to an exemplary level,” commented Daniel Dreux, Vice President of Human Resources. “We are convinced that the talents of each and every person are a source of creativity and progress,” he continued. A quarter of all employees at Disneyland Paris have worked there since opening in 1992. Women make up 48% of the workforce and 46% of all Cadres-level employees. The company has more than 460 handicapped employees. It has also signed three labor agreements on gender parity and six agreements on disability. The company’s recruitment charter ensures dialogue, efficiency and equal opportunities. Disneyland Paris carried out an innovative study on discrimination in 2008 that involved more than 5,000 employees.
